Description:

Backend Web Engineer responsible for developing and maintaining core platform features for Mintos, one of Europe’s leading investment platforms connecting over 500,000 investors with diverse investment opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • API Development: Designed and implemented RESTful APIs to support peer-to-peer lending operations, enabling seamless communication between the platform’s frontend, lending originators, and payment systems
  • Payment Integration: Developed and maintained integrations with multiple payment providers to handle deposits, withdrawals, and transaction processing across European markets
  • Data Synchronization: Built robust data synchronization systems to ensure real-time accuracy of investment portfolios, loan statuses, and account balances
  • Security Implementation: Implemented security measures and authentication systems to protect sensitive financial data and ensure regulatory compliance with MiFID guidelines
  • Performance Optimization: Optimized database queries and backend processes to handle high transaction volumes and maintain platform responsiveness
  • Deployment Pipeline: Contributed to the development and maintenance of automated deployment pipelines to ensure reliable and frequent releases

Technical Environment

Worked with PHP/Symfony backend framework, React.js frontend, Twig templating, and MySQL database. Utilized Git and GitHub Actions for version control and CI/CD, with AWS EC2 for infrastructure and AWS S3 for file storage.
