Lead Web Engineer and Client Manager on a 6+ year improvement retainer (via Solspace Inc.) for Centering Healthcare, a healthcare training organization. What began as rescue work fixing unreliable Salesforce synchronization evolved into building intelligent e-commerce and learning systems that automated enrollment, unified data across platforms, and enabled self-service for healthcare organizations.
I managed one additional developer while leading weekly client communications and making architectural decisions for the platform’s continuous evolution.
E-commerce & Salesforce Integration
The core challenge was unreliable data synchronization between Craft Commerce and Salesforce. Staff spent significant time fixing sync errors and manually verifying that the website wasn’t overselling products or overbooking events.
What I built:
- Bi-directional sync connecting Craft Commerce with Salesforce for products, stock levels, orders, customers, discounts, events, workshops, and enrollments
- Reliable inventory management that prevented overselling and overbooking
- Automated order and customer data flow, eliminating manual data entry and reconciliation
The result: staff stopped spending time on data verification and error correction, trusting the system to keep everything in sync.
Learning Management System Integration
Centering Healthcare sells digital courses and training programs. Before the integration, purchasing a course and getting access to the learning platform were disconnected processes.
What I built:
- Craft Commerce to Thinkific integration that automatically enrolls purchasers in their courses
- Digital product selling capabilities through the e-commerce platform
- Seamless purchase-to-learning flow where customers get immediate access after checkout
This removed the manual step of granting course access after each purchase, enabling true self-service for course buyers.
Client Portal & Organization Management
Healthcare organizations needed to purchase training for their employees and manage who had access to what courses.
What I built:
- Custom client portal on the website with organization-level permissions
- Company administrators can manage their own users and enrollments
- Seat-based purchasing where organizations buy attendance slots and invite employees
This enabled B2B self-service: organizations purchase seats, invite their staff, and manage enrollments without needing to contact support.
